Students Investigate Atoms!

Students have been learning about the structure of the atom. They have learned that geometric shapes are not only found in atoms, but also in compounds, crystals and larger structures like famous buildings. As a class we have investigated how our understanding of the atom changed throughout history and how those discoveries developed into the creation of nuclear energy. The students have been following the scientific discoveries and social events of the early decades of the 1900's. If any parents, grandparents, neighbors or relatives have personal accounts related to these events, we would be grateful if you would share these first hand accounts with our class.
